Phoenix Anti-Islam Organizer; “I’m going into hiding. . . this is tyranny. Terrorism right here in America”

CHRISTIAN PETERSEN/GETTY IMAGES Protesters and counter-protesters rally outside the Islamic Community Center Friday in Phoenix.

Marine Jon Ritzheimer, organizer of the free-speech rally that was held outside a Phoenix-area mosque on Friday, said he and his family are having to go into hiding after threats were made on their lives.

Friday’s protest was held outside the Islamic Community Center, a mosque that was attended by the two men who attacked and were killed during the Garland, Texas Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest.

The Phoenix protest organized my Ritzheimer went off without a hitch, thanks in part to the well-organized efforts fo the group as well as the heavy police presence, although it did attract a large voice counter-presence.

Interviewed by Fox 10 Phoenix, Ritzheimer stated that those protesting the event were “mad”.

“They’re mad at us for exercising our First Amendment rights,” he said. “This is further proof that our First Amendment is under attack. This is tyranny right here. This is tyranny at its finest.”

He stated that this was tyranny, and it has come in the form of threats to his family’s safety.

“I’m having to sell my house. My family is in hiding right now,” he said. “I’m having to go into hiding after this because they’re calling for a ‘lone wolf’ to come and behead me. That’s following their book as it’s written … and that’s tyranny.

“That’s terrorism, right here in America,” he added. “This isn’t happening overseas, this is in America.”

Reporters from the Fox affiliate asked Ritzheimer what his next move would be?

“I’m going into hiding,” he said. “I hope more patriots take a stand. Don’t talk about it, ‘be’ about it.”

He claims to respect a Muslims’ right to exercise their religion, but he will always step up when they try to oppress American citizens.

“Enough is enough. I have two beautiful daughters, and I’m not going to let them be raised in a society like that,” he said.

When they asked him if the event was worth the trouble, he paused before replying; “Let’s ask our Founding Fathers if it was worth it for them to sign the Declaration of Independence.”

  1. To hell with the Islam bull shit, the Sharia garbage and anyone who is connected with the crap

  2. The first amendment protects him from being prosecuted by the government, not from people being angry at what it is he says. If someone makes threats against his life, then that is a crime and the ones threatening him (if caught) would be arrested for making death threats. Just because someone doesn’t like what you have to say doesn’t mean your freedom of speech is under attack. If he was arrested and put in jail for what he said, then that is when his 1st amendment right is being infringed upon.

  3. I got your back Marine. Let them goat fucking assholes come I will have fun putting them down like rabid dogs.

  4. If hed been protesting government, a far more dangeroua and tyrannical enemy than islam could ever be unless it was the government, I would make the founders connection.
