In the wake of last Sunday’s terror attack at a Free-Speech Event in Garland, Texas, there has been a push for further gun control. Michael Bloomberg’s gun control group, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (MDA).
The group wasted no time in taking advantage of the terror attack to push their agenda, launching a gun control campaign on Monday with a “public service announcement” asking mothers to call their friends and talk to them about gun control.
Last month, another Bloomberg-funded gun control group, Everytown for Gun Safety poked fun at a statement made by the NRA that claimed “terrorists” and various “killers” were scheming “to destroy [America]”. That didn’t seem to phase Moms Demand Action, who swiftly took advantage of the news story to push their agenda.
In what is being called by some the “post-Garland era“, Americans are faced with a tough pill to swallow. Islamic Terror has come to the United States and though this attack failed, we can expect many more. Not only that, those who are tasked with protecting Americans – more specifically The FBI – have admitted that there are too many terrorists on American soil for them to track.
Unfortunately for gun control advocates, Americans are becoming more and more disillusioned with the fallacies of gun control. Americans simply are less concerned with the uncontrollable actions of criminals and terrorists, and they are becoming increasingly more concerned with how they can defend themselves against them.
